Casa Casillas Residency

Casa Casillas is a newly established creative facility dedicated to giving artists the space to develop, explore, and deepen their practice. German was selected for a six-month residency, during which they created 10 original works and debuted them in an exhibition titled Colibrí.

Throughout the residency, German led a series of community events aimed at making art more accessible to Chula Vista and San Diego residents. These included free painting classes, an art material swap, and a Q&A panel where attendees gained insight into German's artistic practice.
